A Vision for Tomorrow: BAREKA by Kian at ARCHIDEX 2025

What if you could build a business that was both visionary and practical, with sustainability built into every detail? At ARCHIDEX 2025, an immersive showcase proved circular design is more than a concept—it’s a tangible, scalable solution for your F&B business. This bold vision earned the prestigious Curated Booth Award, a recognition that purposeful design can also be truly beautiful.

A Curated Vision: Our Award-Winning Booth

Winning the Curated Booth Award at ARCHIDEX was more than just a recognition of our design; it was a powerful validation of a philosophy that believes when design serves a greater purpose, it can achieve something truly special. The Organic Grid booth was a physical manifestation of this idea, proving that circular design can be both a powerful statement and a practical solution. Built entirely from reclaimed oil palm trunks, the booth showed that a commitment to sustainability can lead to aesthetics that are not only beautiful but also award-winning.

The Next Evolution for F&B: Solutions to Simplify Your Journey

Building on our foundation of providing complete "in-a-box" solutions, we’re excited to introduce the next evolution of BAREKA. Core offerings have been elevated to make going green easier than ever for F&B establishments. Now, you can build your business on a foundation of sustainability without compromising on design or budget.

To support your journey, two game-changers have been introduced:

  • SYSTEM-X: A powerful new 3D design tool with a comprehensive furniture library that streamlines project workflows. It helps you effortlessly plan your space through immersive, life-like visuals and instant walkthroughs, bringing your vision to life before you even lift a hammer.

  • Palm Wood Biomass: A sustainable material sourced right here in Malaysia, made from the by-products of the palm industry.

A Belief in Second Chances: A Partnership for a Better World

The philosophy is simple: there is potential where others see waste. By embracing palm wood biomass, the shared goal with partners is to encourage full resource utilisation—transforming agricultural by-products into sustainable, functional designs that your customers will appreciate.

The furniture we showcased isn’t just a display; it reaffirms a belief in second chances and a continued commitment to circular design and sustainable materials. Strategic collaborations towards a Better World include:

  • OnCore by IOI Palm Wood: A material engineered from reprocessed oil palm trunks.

  • Palm Loop by Panasonic: A next-generation MDF board created from empty palm fruit bunches.

In partnership with Coffex Coffee Malaysia, an F&B partner that shares these values, ethically sourced coffee featuring their MONO Origin beans was provided, served in compostable corn fibre cups. Visitors enjoyed free coffee, demonstrating that every business choice—from the bean that supports farmers to the cup that returns to the earth—can be a force for good.

Business as a Force for Good: A Silent Commitment

Through our brand promises of Better Design and Better World, business is viewed as a silent commitment to protect the planet and people through every conscious decision. It’s a commitment shared with collaborators who helped make this show a success. Heartfelt thanks to IOI’s OnCore, Panasonic’s Palm Loop, Coffex Coffee Malaysia and Bigstar LED for their valuable collaboration.
